You know, as Christians I think we have the tendency to blanket our problems or another person’s problems with “God is good.”
Yes, God is good. He is so good.
That doesn’t mean that waiting on Him is any less hard. Or pain is any less painful. It doesn’t make the crap we go through any easier.
God is good and He is constant in our struggle. In my pain, I get to lean on God. I kind of fall short of words for this. It’s something so beautiful. I lean on God and I know His goodness and He is comforting to me but the pain is still real, my heart still hurts. But Jesus is my constant. He is my hope. He is my help. I don’t have to walk alone and thank You Lord because it’s hard enough to walk this with Your help.
So let’s not throw “God is good” on our own problems or anyone else’s. Let’s speak the truth and let’s say why He is good even in the midst of the yuck.
